Tritium System for Medical Isotope Production

SHINE Medical has developed a technology for the creation of medical isotopes using a low-energy, accelerator-based neutron source.  Deuterium ions are collided into tritium gas to create fusion which provides high energy neutrons that interact with a uranium target to produce moly-99.  The isotope is used in over 50,000 procedures every day by hospitals all over the USA in procedures such as stress test and bone scans.

design, construction, commissioning and training on a Tritium Delivery and Recovery System (TRADS) as the fuel source for the accelerator

design, construction, commissioning and training on a secondary enclosure cleanup system (SEC) for the TRADS glovebox

providing cryopumps, getter beds, Depleted Uranium storage beds (Ubed), and transport vessels for the safe handling of the tritium

consulting for the successful operation of the demonstration accelerator with a tritium fuel source
